My dissertation, Talking Past Each Other, consists of four papers examining different mechanisms through which people come to (mis)understand one another, as well as the socially consequential effects of these communicative successes and failures. Please email me for drafts of the papers below:

Beyond my dissertation, I also work on questions in applied ethics. My current work in this area examines ethical issues surrounding gestational commercial surrogacy.
